DescriptionRix apologises for not being in when Foster called the previous day, explaining that he was called away to meet the architect working on the library and he had forgotten about their scheduled meeting.

He notes that he understands about Dr Mott's paper and has ensured that the work on publication is in progress. Rix further states that Mr James and Mr White will be at the Royal Society all the time that he is away. He will be at 11, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford until the 8 August, and will be in London on the 9 and 10 August, and following that the Channel Islands. Letters sent to the Society will be forwarded to Rix.
