TitleCopy letter from A H White, to Dr Archibald Byron Macallum
Date3 September 1891
DescriptionWhite informs Macallum that they are posting proofs of his paper on 'Chromatin', and responds to his enquiry of 24 August, to explain that the general rule is that material alterations or additions should be dated and bracketed, or put as footnotes. They have however indicated this by adding "Revised August 1891" to the title, and if Macallum approves then this simplifies the matter.

Professor Michael Foster has asked White to bring Macallum's attention to the fact that he has not yet met the criticism of the referee, and so Foster suggests he add a note explaining how he is using the term 'chromatin' and outlining his method of isolating and purifying it.
