Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir William Thomson, President of the Royal Society |
Date | 9 November 1891 |
Description | Rix asks if Thomson will add the name of Thomas Wharton Jones, the former tutor of Professor Huxley, to the list of deaths to be mentioned in his anniversary address, and promises to send on his obituary notice if it appears in 'The Times'. He further notes that Dr Gunning has not been invited to dinner, but Rix will send him a card and mention it to the Treasurer next time he sees him. He will also suggest the Warden of the Clothworkers' Company.
