Title | Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Crookes, President of the Royal Society |
Date | 21 July 1914 |
Description | The Treasurer, after consultation with the Director of the National Physical Laboratory and others, has come to the conclusion that the letter agreed upon by the Council for despatch to the Prime Minister upon the finances of the Laboratory should go out now. A covering letter from Crookes should go with it, suggesting to Asquith that any interview has better not take place until the autumn.
Sending a sheet of the new number of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' containing the final proof in pages of Crookes' paper on silicon, which he wanted to see. |
