The Biochemical Society was mentioned in drawing up the list of Societies invited to nominate representatives. It was left out, as many other Societies were because it was absolutely necessary to keep the size of the meeting within reasonable limits. As it is, some fifty representatives will be called together to meet the whole of the Council.'
