DescriptionThe Scientific Relief Committee have reported to the President and Council of the Royal Society that they will be willing to recommend a grant to assist Mr Whipple over any temporary need which may arise at Easter, but before coming to any final decision they would wish to be informed whether the Kew Committee has it in its power, and is disposed to make, some permanent provision for Whipple, should such assistance unhappily be necessary. The President and Council wish to know the views of the Kew Committee on the above matter.
