DescriptionWith reference to Foster's letter of 9 August 1888, having reference to the regulations under which the annual Parliamentary Grant of £4000 for the promotion of scientific research is administered, Foster now submits two additional amendations in those regulations which the President [William Thomson] and Council of the Royal Society suggest for the better administration of the grant; one concerning regulation 19, section two involves changing the date from 31st January to 1st of March, and the second concerns changing the sum in regulation 23 from £100 to £120.
