States that the gardener of the property, Herbert Babey has been paid £150 legacy by Mrs Ludlow-Hewitt and a payment of his wages has been guaranteed for 3 months by Mrs. Sollas's will. Informs his wages will continue to be paid after this date by the Royal Society at the rate of £2 a week, if the property is not sold by then. Asks how Mrs. Sollas's will can be carried out and Employment contributions to Insurance. Sends a demand for Tithe rent charge from Mrs. Ludlow-Hewitt [not enclosed]. Babey's address is handwritten.
