Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Dr Henry William Bristow, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 17 March 1894 |
Description | Foster states that Bristow's letter of 26 February concerning the Buchanan Testimonial was laid before the President and Council of the Royal Society, and they reply to accept the duty of awarding the Buchanan medal under conditions 1 and 2 of his memorandum. With regard to condition 3, they believe the presentation of the first medal to Lady Buchanan should be made by the memorialists themselves, and the Royal Society should not involve themselves until after that has been done. |
