Dr Foster wishes me to write and say that the referees are of opinion that "a smaller number -- perhaps half -- of the figures sent in might be selected for publication. Many of the photographs, they think, "are not strikingly demonstrative" and might be eliminated. I am sending back the paper that this may be done.
