Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Secretary, Royal Society |
Date | 9 June 1894 |
Description | Rix notes that they have sent back Barton's paper in accordance with his letter, but has no instructions with regard to answering the last part of the letter. He asks if he should accept the recommendation of Mr Wesley for the exhibition of a picture of the moon, painted by Sidney Hodges, an artist astronomer.
He also asks that Rayleigh appoint a second referee for Mr Boys' paper, and further notes that as there are duplicate manuscripts and duplicates plates, both referees may be at work at once. |
