Headed: 'The Royal Society. Anniversary Dinner, St. Andrew's Day, November 30, 1887.' Each seating place and its occupant are numbered and there is an index to these names. Several places are unreserved. The guests included the United States Minister, Edward John Phelps (1822-1900), Robert Assheton Cross, 1st Viscount Cross (1823-1914), and Lawrence Alma Tadema (1836-1912).
