Description | Plate 29, figures 1-4 showing a portion of the cortical and medullary substance of the human brain having been frozen and thawed, pictured at various levels of magnification. Figure 4 showing a pullet's egg after impregnation, magnified x10, is pasted onto the sheet on which figures 1-3 are painted. Inscribed with publication and plate details. A pencil inscription in the bottom right reads 'For Sir E [Everard] Home's paper no XIX'. Signed in ink in bottom left, 'Franz Bauer del:'. Embossed stamp in bottom right corner showing a crown and 'Parsons'. Royal Society stamp verso.
