DescriptionAlphabetical list of the collection of minerals Robert Boyle bequeathed to The Royal Society, created by Henry Hunt (autographed on cf. fol.1), the Society's Operator. Michael Hunter, on page 36 of 'The Boyle Papers, Understanding the Manuscripts of Robert Boyle', notes that 'on receipt of this bequest in 1692, the Society made enquiries about the survival of a catalogue to which marks on the stones apparently referred, nothing appears to have come of this. Instead Hunt must have set to work to peoduce this catalogue of his own'.
