Title | Letter from Robert McDonnell, to George Gabriel Stokes, regarding a paper 'On the amyloid substance of the liver, and its ultimate destination in the animal economy' by Robert McDonnell |
Date | 25 October 1863 |
Description | Is willing to shorten the paper 'in accordance with the wishes of the Council'. Considers the referee whose report was forwarded to him 'does not quite...appreciate the faults and merits of my communication'. Refers to work of Humphrey Davy. Although he could not make the reading of his paper himself, a friend passed on the discussions at the Council meeting, and has since worked to further his investigations, and hopes to make a communication on the subject soon. Hopes the Council will allow some of the current paper to go with the paper he is currently working on.
