Title | Letter from Harry Hemley Plaskett, on a paper 'An attempt to measure interferometrically the widths of chromospheric lines at the total solar eclipse of 1952 February 25' by H A Brück and Derek Ainslie Jackson, to D C Martin, assistant secretary of the Royal Society |
Date | 20 September 1952 |
Description | Paper reference code: A152
Plaskett would prefer his identity as the referee of this paper to remain anonymous to Dr Brück and Dr Jackson, as they are both good friends of his and does not wish to lose their friendship. Remarks the paper should be published, however it is not of 'outstanding importance which justifies its appearance in the Proceedings'. He is happy to accept the second referees opinion whatever it may be.
