TitleReferee's report by Thomas Edward Allibone, on a paper 'The role of quanta in the electric breakdown of gases' by W L Harries and A von Engel
Date29 July 1953
DescriptionSectional committee: Physics

Paper reference code: A151

Allibone remarks earlier papers in this series were published in the Proceedings, but were shorter. However there would be no objection to publication in the Philosophical Transactions, but he cannot see where the paper could be cut shorter. Allibone appreciates retyping is expensive but so is a referee's time and manuscripts should not be sent in this 'state'. Detailed suggestions of the paper included, and comments 'a complete detailed revision is imperative before acceptance'.
