Title | Letter from Alexander Scott, 34 Upper Hamilton Terrace, to [Henry Capel Lofft] Holden |
Creator | Scott; Alexander (1853-1947); British chemist |
Recipient | Holden; Sir Henry Capel Lofft (1856-1937); British army officer and automotive engineer |
Date | 1 July 1922 |
Description | Everyone was sorry that Holden was unable to attend on Thursday evening; the President too, was prevented from dining. The four vacancies were filled with only two rounds of voting. The notices for the new members have been typed for Holden's signature. He sends other enclosures including a note to Macmillans about the Annals volumes. While at the Royal Society he looked at the Club boxes, and there is room for accumulated menus there. He will purge his own two boxes and hand over to Holden only those things which are useful to the Treasurer, asking how the handover might be done. He will write up minutes of the last meeting and be ready to go over the books with Holden. With a list of the new members. |
