Title | Sculpture bust of Dollond, George |
Artist | Charles Summers |
Description | Bust of Dollond with draped shoulders looking at the right, hair en brosse with thick side whiskers. |
ObjectName | Sculpture |
Materials | Marble |
Dimensions | Height 686 mm |
Notes | Presented by A W Dollond, 1893. Although originally attributed to Richard James Garland (1815–1903), the style of this bust indicates it is more likely to be the finished marble version of a plaster sculpture exhibited by Charles Summers (1825-1878) at the Royal Academy in 1851.
