DescriptionFull figure maquette of Darwin depicted as a relatively young man in the period of his travels on HMS Beagle. He carries his notebook, waterflask, hat, geological hammers, stick and pistol. His pockets and collecting satchel are full of specimens. His setting is an outcrop of Galapagos volcanic rock with the accompanying fauna of marine iguanas, crabs and a Darwin finch.
