TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr Arthur R Kantrowitz, AVCO-Everett Research Laboratory, 2385 Revere Beach Parkway, Everett, Massachusetts
Date29 January 1973
DescriptionThey have not spoken for some time, as he has been abroad and is now back from his sabbatical year. His personal life is settled again. He recently re-married, and all is well - except, of course, the financial disaster (which Kantrowitz knows somwething about, too). Gold would be glad to come on a more regular basis to consult, if he can be useful. Of course what he would like would be projects that he can supervise, but it always turns out that one has too many projects going anyway. Would be prepared to write proposals and help raise the money for such things as, for example, the fully instrumented hospital bed; or the research for measuring cardiac output by some external simple measurement. Or on the non-medical side, he has plans for lots of new devices.

Kantrowitz was going to have a new consulting agreement prepared that takes account of the inflation over the last eight years, and that distinguishes between continuous and periodic consultation. Perhaps he could phone Gold at his leisure in Gold's office.
