TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr Edward Anders, Enrico Fermi Institute for Nuclear Studies, University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois
Date15 October 1973
DescriptionThanks him for the valuable information, Has received Clayton's interesting article, but will remember to be cautious. Must also investigate the French story that in a uranium mine in Africa the isotopes are funny. Certainly thinks every new meteorite and new source of material should be checked for isotopic composition among the stable heavier elements. Perhaps there were two stages in the formation of the solar system, and they have seen only the second addition. Deep material on the Earth or from deep down in another planet may be hard to come by, but they must make sure they would recognize it if they found a sample.
