TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr John Naugle, Associate Administrator, Code AA, NASA Headquarters, Washington DC
Date23 February 1973
DescriptionMust realise it is a great shock to them to receive the news that their lunar sample work is to be discontinued. Describes their position and the importance of the derivation of the lunar soil which has not been widely appreciated. Also deeply disappointed in the lack of interest taken in the lunar radar data, which completely demolishes the notion of widespread bedrock being present, and in the electrical measurements in the lunar soil.
