TitleLetter from Thomas Gold ot Professor Konrad Bleuler, Director, Inst. Fur Theor. Kernphysik, Nussallee 16, 5300 Bonn, Germany
Date27 February 1973
DescriptionNice to be back at Ithaca with all his friends. Concerned at the diminished support for science in the US. The general outlook is still unfavourable for almost any intellectual pursuits, and he cannot see the pendulum swinging back yet. Perhaps he should consider returning to work in Europe, and in particular Switzerland where he would feel most at home.

They may be in Europe again in the summer, on their way round to Australia (where astronomers will meet then) and would gladly take him up on his invitation then if the time is suitable, and visit Bonn.
