Description | Thanks him for his letter and interest. Gold is enclosing a few reports, but his main paper is not yet ready. There are still many sseparate studies involved, such as atmospheric evolution, isotopes, earthquake history, tsunami generation etc
Gold is very interested in Crawford's worry that large craters are mis-identified as impacts. Gold would think it quite possible that enormous gas eruptions occur occasionally, less than one per million years, and that they leave a large hole but no or very little lava. If Crawford can send Gold reprints or advise himabout lterature to bring Gold up to date on the apect of pseudo-volcanic craters, he would be very grateful |
