TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor Konrad Bleuler, Institut for Theoretische Kernphysik der Universitat Bonn, Nussallee 14-16, D-5300 Bonn, West Germany
Date4 January 1978
DescriptionThanks him for his letter. Is sorry he is so slow in replying, but has had an unfortunate accident which prevents him from coming to Europe this winter as intended, as he ruptured the Achilles tendon.

The work he started in the wonderful surroundings of BLeuler's chalet last summer is progressing well. He believes they have a much better understanding now of quite a range of phemomena on the Earth, such as the sources of carbon, the whole range of effects associated with earthquakes, and also the reason for earthquakes.
