TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Usogas, 8002 Zurich G, Grutlistrasse 44, Postfach 8027, Switzerland
Date26 January 1979
DescriptionMarked 'For attention M Stadelmann'

As requested, is sending him some of the material relating to his hypothesis abut the outgassing processes of the Earth, and the availability of hydrocarbon gas. States the major paper on this has now appeared, in the new, British-based Journal of Petroleum Geology, Vol. 1, Number 3.

Gold's hyothesis would suggest that gas in commercial quantities is much more widespread than generally supposed, and Gold has some particular reasons for suggesting the vicinity of the Alps as good possibilities. For this reason he is particularly interested in an enquiry from Switzerland.
