TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Professor R A Lyttleton, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road, CAmbridge, England
Date30 January 1979
DescriptionApologises for delay in replying, and states why. Ha snot yet found time for many essential duties, including a study of Lyttleton's paper.

Gold willl sign for Fellget. His stuff looks pretty good, although somewhat technical.

Is sorry to hear that Salam is a problem. He thought he was very will disposed, in particular about pulsars. New stuff this year is of course the discussion of outgassing the Earth. Paper published in Journal of Petroleum Geology, Vol. 1, No., 3. If anything of this is mentioned it should only be: he has recently set himself the task of analyzing the processes by which gases are emerging from the Earth, and is tackling this problem again with characteristic independence and several startling new ideas.
