Has surveyed the various radio astronomy centers in the US with a view to seeing from where one might expect a demand fro Arecibo observing times. Arecibo not built for the purpose of filling general needs, and one cannot expect much demand to arise until after upgrading, The possibility that new centers for low frequency radio ast5ronomy would develop is considered unlikeoy in the present situation, and therefore it is only when Arecibo can be used at high frequncies, where there are many active groups in the country, that the general demand will be large.
