TitleLetter from Thoma sGold to Dr Luciano B Ronca, Lunar Science Institute, 3303 NASA Road 1, Houston, Texas
Date25 May 1971
DescriptionStates the 70 cm radar maps must have some relevance to the problem of differential evolution of the surface. He does not, however, see any clear relation to his index.

The depolarized map will give essentially just the density of rocks ithin 15 feet of the surface. It seems to be regionally very different, and Gold does not know why.

Asks him to add radar maps to the LSI library collection of such itemsl

Postscript; Two mounted radar maps - polarized and depolarized - are being sent to him under sparate cover for permanent use at LSI. Please see they are exhibited with the caption
