Is enclosing his correspondence with Dr McCutchen, and two earlier papers of his which may be of interest. He is very glad that such measurements are now possible, and moreover that they give such very sensible results. Has calculated, but never published, the mechanics of a travelling wave in a high Q filter structure resembling his view of the cochlear mechanical properties, with feedback, and the results were always of the kind Rhode describes. If he is interested will try and locate his old computations and send them to him. |
