The letter goes on to say that Gold was writing about 'Mach’s principle in a uniformly expanding universe which then implies that distant objects must be accelerating away from us'. He was also writing about electro-magnetic radiation by Maxwell’s laws connecting 'the emission point of an emitted photon with the reception point of a received photon' (805); fax about what he thought were the ten possible candidates for a deep biosphere in our solar system (781).
