There are also copies of a letter from Gold to Bondi, dated 26 March 1999, in response to Bondi’s letter about an article by Peebles in Nature entitled 'Evolution of the cosmological constant' (4 Mar 1999). In the letter Gold talks about the Big Bang theory, Mach's principle and Maxwell's laws connecting the emission point of an emitted photon with the reception point of a received photon. Also contains a couple of faxes between Gold and Jane Rider, acting for Robert A Hefner III, about a suitable comment by Hefner on 'The deep hot biosphere'.
