Description | Broughton recounts experiments carried out to explore the effect of breathing pure oxygen gas on animal bodies, having noted that the oxygen that we breathe, whilst required to sustain life, is never in its pure form. Broughton's experiments used kittens, sparrows, rabbits, guinea pigs, and mice as test subjects.
An ink inscription on the covering sheet reads 'Not to be printed'.
