DescriptionThis is a translation of a covering letter for five essays (not included) written in German and Swedish and printed in 1823. The letter refers to Berzelius' research on the chemistry of Carlsbad [Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic] hot springs, the combination of acetic acid and oxide of copper, a mineral composed of chloride and lead, oxides of uranium, and fluoric acid. Berzelius summarises the contents of each of the essays.
