TitleUnpublished letters, regarding three inventions by Philipp Jacob Wagner
Date1832-1833
DescriptionWagner describes three of his inventions: the first is an apparatus to solve the problem of deflecting the shadow of any sun dial from its line; the second relates to a new exact method of finding the altitude of the pole, and time; the third is a mode of measuring angles by means of locks. Though the letter is addressed to the Royal Society of Literature it can be assumed that the Royal Society are the appropriate recipients of the letter.

Written by Wagner in Nuremberg [Bavaria]. Preceded by a covering letter with a synopsis of the paper from Charles King of the British Museum to Peter Mark Roget.
