DescriptionThe author acknowledges receipt of a letter from Christie, dated 12 May 1849, in which it was requested that 200 copies of the printed 'magnetical and meteorological observations made at the observatories of Simla [Shimla, India], Bombay [Mumbai], Madras [Chennai] and Singapore' be sent to the Royal Society for distribution. The author confirms that copies of the observations will be sent.
