He provides a description of the constituent parts of the electric column and then recounts experiments performed with column, including on the motion and circulation of electric fluid, positive and negative states, external influences, and the column as a pseudo-Mimosa sensitiva [Mimosa pudica] or an aerial electroscope. Includes one page of illustrations.
