DescriptionAs part of the Darwin centenary celebrations in 1958-59, the Royal Society sent an expedition to Southern Chile. The expedition was led by Dr M W Holdgate. Leaving Britain in September 1958, it stayed in the field until February 1959.

The film of the expedition, 'South from Chiloe', was made available for loan to schools, educational institutions and film societies. The film was available by contacting the Assistant Secretary at the Royal Society. The film is in colour, 40 mins long, and has a commentary spoken by Dr Holdgate. #
