DescriptionThanks Blagden for his kindness to Mr Gibson of Baltimore. Gives news of his recent marriage and his decision to settle in Philadelphia and practise law. Praises Philadelphia. Is trying to estrange himself from politics, describes a pamphlet he wrote ina an attempt to foster improved relations between the USA and England. Was well received by the heads of government on his return from Europe but has not embraced their party politics and their love of France.
