TitleLetter from [James George] Frazer, 1 Brick Court, Temple, London, E.C.4., to William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date5 January 1919
DescriptionLearns that a Committee has been appointed to look after the [John] Roscoe expedition [to Uganda], and that Frazer is on the Committee. Asks when the first meeting will be. Notes that Roscoe is keen to start, especially to purchase his tickets and to send his apparatus ahead to Mombasa, but that some things need to be paid for in advance. Discusses Roscoe's age, which is nearing the limit of the time when the hardships and fatigue of an expedition become too much for a man with a family to support.
