Description | J L intends to read Markham's letter on 30th April regarding the Antarctic Relief ship. The impression has been derived that it would be unwise to approach the Government on a problematic issue.
Definite information would soon be available so that the Relief Ship would not be despatched until the late Autumn. The committee are asking for a definite statement that Captain Scott is wintering a second time. It is possible for the matter to be pressed on the Government in due time before Whitsuntide, if the despatches arrive on 16 May. |
