DescriptionMemorandum on the letter of 3 September from the Secretary of the Treasury to the President of the Royal Society. Agrees on the whole to retain the current system of management of the Meteorological Office, whereby their Council advises on and administers funds, and the Director deals with administration. Suggests that a new Meteorological Council should include representatives from the Royal Society and the Hydrographer of the Admiralty, and co-operate with the Board for Agriculture and Fisheries.
