DescriptionDiscusses the future administration of the Meteorological Office. Decides that it will be managed by a Committee, composed of: the Director of the Meteorological Office, two representatives of the Royal Society, the Hydrographer of the Navy, one representative each from the Board of Trade, the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Treasury. Discusses funds, salaries and grants from Parliament. Lists the first set of men making up the Committee: Mr William Napier Shaw FRS (Director of the Meteorological Office), Cpatain Arthur Field (Hydrographer of the Navy), Captain A. J. G. Chalmers (Officer of the Marine Department, Board of Trade), Mr W. Somerville (Board of Agriculture and Fisheries), Professor G. H. Darwin FRS (University of Cambridge), Professor Arthur Schuster FRS (University of Manchester), Mr G. L. Barstow (Treasury).
