Date7 November 1902
Description[Letter is in French.]

Discusses the situation regarding the portion of the International Astrographic Chart (Carte du Ciel, in French) to be carried out by the Perth Observatory, Australia. Notes that Mr [William Ernest] Cooke had been given funds by the Western Australian Government to finish the task, but that this new information about their change of mind [to stop work on the International Astrographic Chart and dismiss all officers employed on it] worries him. Notes how bad this would be for the British Empire and the international work. Discusses how best to remedy this situation.
