TitleLetter from Eleanor Bisset, 38 Albun Place, Aberdeen, to William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society
Date14 February 1921
DescriptionThanks Hardy for his letter about the post with Mr [John] Roscoe. Explains that she would like to do the work very much, but will only be free in two months' time due to her brother's recent death. Explains that she has had no experience in that sort of post but that she is used to dealing with correspondence, proof-correcting and writing. Notes that Professor Walls and Dr Philips would give an account of her clinical work, and encloses another recommendation [CD/53/8]. Notes that in her M.A. she passed the degree examinations in zoology, and this knowledge might come in useful. Hopes that Roscoe would be willing to wait, as this is the kind of work she has long wished for.
