DescriptionIn reply to the Lister Institute's letter, is prepared to act on their suggestion that an inquiry into the spread of plague in India should be directed by an Advisory Committee. Notes that the Advisory Committee will be jointly appointed by the Lister Institute, Royal Society and the Secretary of State for India. Discusses grants for the proposed Plague Research Expedition in England and India. States that there should be an annual progress report. Notes that the Royal Society has nominated Sir Michael Foster, KCB, and Professor John Rose Bradford, MD, as their representatives on the Committee. Asks for the names of the Lister Institute's representatives. Notes that the Secretary of State for India proposes Surgeon General Branfoot to represent him on the Committee.
