DescriptionClarifies the Royal Society's proposals to (1) transfer the property of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) from the Royal Society to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, (2) to present the reports from the NPL to the Department instead of the Royal Society, and (3) to transfer the power of revising the scientific recommendations of the Executive Commitee (of the NPL) from the Society to the Department. Asks for a complete scheme of the proposed new Consitution of the Laboratory, and for a joint meeting with Dr [Richard] Glazebrook, the representative of the NPL.
