DescriptionSending a copy of a resolution passed by Council of the Royal Astronomical Society, approaching the Royal Society to jointly urge the Admiralty to increase the establishment of the Nautical Almanac Office. The objective would be to make the Office the centre of astrodynamics in Britain. A committee was formed to give object to the resolution and its membership is listed. Sir David Gill would be prepared to explain on what grounds the resolution was adopted at the next meeting of Royal Society Council.
