TitleLetter from Henry Michell MacCracken, New York University, University Heights, New York, to the Secretaries of the Royal Society
Date5 April 1904
DescriptionMacCraken has received the letter of 24 March, duplicated to Professor Eliot. He sends the scheme for administration of the Biological Station at Bermuda as requested. The superintending committee's members are men of business and it was not thought necessary to nominate a person with practical experience of managing biological stations. A postscript outlines yearbook references to New York and Columbia Universities. A manuscript note, verso, indicates that the letter was returned to its author one month after writing and therfore he sends it again, 'chiefly to indicate our good intentions'.
